View nodes seperated by category

Hello All,

I've been banging my head against a wall with this issue for the past two and a half days.

I'm trying to get nodes to show up under specific category names...like this: http://www.shocktheplanet.com/categories.png

I have my system all setup in a cck/views combo, but I cannot figure out how to get it to work like this.

Any suggestions? I can give demo site url if needed.

You can get pretty close to your screenshot through the ui, but then you'll have to theme it to get it the rest of the way (either with css or with views theming if you can't get what you want strictly with css).

create a node view
add a filter for "Taxonomy: Vocabulary" and set it to the desired vocabulary
add fields for "Taxonomy: Term" (remove the label and check the "exclude from display" option)and "Node: Title" (and whatever else you want to show)
set the style to "table" and the grouping field to "Taxonomy: Term"

Then finish it off with some theming.

Thank you very much, when I read the disclaimer about categories -- http://drupal.org/project/category -- it made me a little nervous.
