aimutch commentedIs this on a live site we can review?
aimutch commentedIt's very odd. It appears to be a rendering problem with Firefox and only on certain letters like "s" and "e". Tweaking the padding and margins doesn't affect the clipping. If you look at those attributes in Firebug, they are being rendered properly. Also, if you increase the font size to a size like 2em, the clipping goes away. It also doesn't appear in any of these browsers:
Firefox 2.0.0.20
IE 8
Google Chrome 2.0.172.33
I also don't see this if I change the font for LIs to Arial. So there may also be an issue with the font. Sorry that I can't be of more help but there's a couple things to look into further.

jacineI haven't seen this behavior at all, so I can't begin to test, and I'm tempted to switch this status to a support request, but I wont for now.
Maybe you have a corrupted font? I've had that before.
aimutch commentedI'm seeing the same behavior. I'll try to send you the site address. You can see it in FF 3.
JonoB commentedYup, my first port of call was to try change the padding and margins, to no avail.
Jacine, I sent aimutch a private link, since I didnt want my site public right now. Happy to send you a private link too if needed, just let me know.
aimutch commentedJonoB -Can you check at Mozilla to see if there are any known issues with this font and FF?
Thanks.
JonoB commentedSure...except I am going to expose my ignorance here and ask what "this font" is?
I've tried setting my fonts to Arial (from Tahoma) for both Base Font and Headings Font, but I still get the menu clipping.
So, I am not sure exactly what I should be looking for at Mozilla.
Happy to help if I can....
JonoB commentedThis is still a problem, as seen on your own demo site.
aimutch commentedAre you still seeing this on the most recent code? I can't replicate it in FF 3 with the 6.x-3.9 release.
JonoB commentedIf I am going to be really fussy, yes, its still there. It is, however, much less pronounced than before. I wouldnt say that this is fixed, but its not an issue for me anymore.
aimutch commentedOK. I thought I still saw a small amount of distortion but wasn't sure if it was my eyes, monitors or what. Do you have a screenshot that you can highlight what you're seeing? I would still like to get this resolved.
JonoB commentedSure, here we go. This is in FF 3.5.3. I assume that http://sky.graviteklabs.com/ is running sky 3.9
As I said, its definitely better, and so marginal that I wouldnt really consider it an issue anymore, especially on my site that uses a different font.
Having said this, of all the themes that I have used, I have found sky the easiest to skin with css. Its an absolute pleasure to use overrides, and I've rarely had a skinning problem that I couldnt easily fix (with the exception of http://drupal.org/node/491810). Much kudos for that.

jacineGonna mark this wont fix, until someone shows up with a fix (if it's still a problem).
