I had a few problems connecting my database with Drupal and the guys at my hosting provider did it for me. But when I went to log into Drupal, it said my password and login weren't correct and that it had no record of my email address on file. This is after I had already recieved an email.

So I created a new user but they don't have authorisation to access anything.

How can I either grant this new user authorisation or figure out what my initial login and password were, keeping in mind that I've already tried the 'forgot my password' thing and it told me it has no record of my user name or password?

Documentation -> Troubleshooting FAQ -> Account, Permission and Login Issues and then (possibly) Deleted first user account?. At least, it gives you an idea what to do in the database to turn another user into the admin user.
