Menu Breadcrumbs Module Not Behaving

Hi guys
I've got all my primary menu setup as primary links, and I've installed the menu breadcrumb module... yet when I click through the primary link structure and get to a node, the page doesnt show a breadcrumb at all... it just says home where there should be a path saying home > primary > sub > pagename
what is going on here?? Does anyone know how to fix this, I've got the settings in the module correct but it just wont play the game!

I think you've helped me with another issue before, thanks for your input on this one.
Good question, I hadnt thought of the theme interfering with the breadcrumbs! I'm using a customised theme that was built from the framework theme.
I will look into this, but I was wondering if it could be something else... because the breadcrumbs work sometimes, when using the navigation links for example. They will work when clicking through the primary links, but whe on a node it just shows home
