I want to apply permissions to a content type and all the nodes that were made in it. (Ones Already Created)

I am using Simple Access module, and set the permissions on the content type, but when I rebuild the permissions nothing happens to the permissions of the nodes, none of them change.

I don't believe it works that way. I believe you have to edit the nodes for the new permissions to take affect on those nodes.
