Can't find permissions for access services, load any node data, load own node data

computerlarry - June 27, 2009 - 04:32

Trying to install Dash Player. Came to the section: Configure the Services Module and the Dash Player
I have installed the services module. It reports a correct installation.
Dash says:

Once you are in the permissions section, you will then look for the access services, load any node data, load own node data (for Drupal 5, these are called load raw node data), and access all views (if you are using playlist support) permissions.

None of these exist in the permissions section.

That's as far as I've gotten.

Thanks.

which version of the services module is in use?

I downloaded and installed it

I downloaded and installed it yesterday. So many modules I installed were dependent on Services, so rather than uninstall, I overwrote the original modules and ran update.php

an exact version # would be benefical so that I can install the same version you are using to figure out where the problem lies.

Does me no good to install 1.x if you are using 2.x

6.x-2.x-dev

IN 2.x the permisisons show up under user_service module

create new users
delete any user
delete own user
get any user data
get own user data
update any user data
update own user data

and only when the user service module is enabled under Services - services

My user server shows as

computerlarry - June 27, 2009 - 21:35

My user server shows as enabled in Administer › Site building > Modules

So -
Under user_service module
Does get own user data mean the same as load own node data ?

services module
only offers administer services

node module
I have enabled access content

node_service module
Can I assume that load node data is what is meant by load any node data ?

These are all I can find in Home › Administer › User management > Permissions

question is better served by the services community or services group. 2.x-dev hasn't been released any changes may be taking place that will affect the installation instructions you are using as the instructions are likely based off the 1.x release.

I wouldn't safely assume anything on a production site. I'd use a test site where you can assume at random and not break anything important.

All of your timely
