Applying floats on conditional fields

If I do css floats with conditional fields then the javascript for hiding and showing will no longer work.
It would be great if that wasn't the case. Thanks!

I tested floating on both controlling and controlled fields with the standard Garland theme and it seems to work. On what ids/classes are you applying the float exactly?
