Integrating Twitter, Twitpic & Flickr with Organic Groups

smallballusa - June 27, 2009 - 16:58

Hi,

I need help integrating Twitter, Twitpic and Flickr into Organic Groups:

I would like each og to display the admin's Twitter updates in a block. The admin in each group will be a different person, so this block needs to display different information in each og. I know it's probably pretty simple to do, but I'm a php novice.

Similarly, I'd like blocks to display the admin's Twitpic and Flickr updates in the appopriate organic group.

I believe I have all the necessary modules installed. I'm hoping this just requires some minor php code in the block configuration or some tweaking in Views.

Thanks,

John

If you want to get a book that does a nice job of helping you set up a profile, the Drupal 6: Ultimate Community Site Guide, you see the book here http://book.drupalfun.com/, and if you want to purchase a site already set up, you can see it here, http://book.drupalfun.com/socialnetwork. There is another book that does a nice job of discussing og, but does not discuss what you are asking. This book is the Drupal for Education and E-Learning, I have several books linked from my front page that I use, http://www.drupalus.com

Now for the twitter, there are several sites where there are some video clips that will help, mustardseedmedia.com and How To: Using Drupal Twitter Module, http://gotdrupal.com/videos/drupal-twitter-module. These are great resources.

You can also, visit my site, sign up on google friends and see what I am doing, http://drupalus.com/aggregator/sources. I will be implementing og soon.

I hope that this gives you a good directions.
