I have a site running on D5 which is using the now closed 2.x branch. What do the maintainers recommend I do for that site? (Please don't say upgrade to D6 as that's a given... but until that happens I need to know what action should be taken in the interim.)

Should I downgrade to the 1.x branch? to the 1.6 release? Are either of those safe? Continue to use 2.x until we move to D6?

I had upgraded to the 2.x branch to deal with an issue we were experiencing. Just looking here for the best judgment of the maintainers as the safest and best course of action until the site can be upgraded to D6. Thanks.

Probably your best option is to stick with using your current 5.x-2.x version. When you're ready to upgrade to Drupal 6, we'll have fully supported versions ready and waiting for you.

Thanks, Dave. Much appreciated. I will do that.

OK, now that 2.x has been removed... what do I do? Downgrade to 1.x? Is that safe?

Same answer as #2. I just unpublished the release so no one else will download it.
