when drupalimage / img_assist is called from the toolbar in fullscreen window, the img_assist window loses communication with the parent and so cannot insert images into it.

not sure if this is a problem with img_assist or with tinyMCE ?

or is it just me ?

this seems to have been a problem with img_assist.

It has been fixed in Benshell's 'indie' version of img_assist which can be found via http://drupal.org/node/32506
