Is there perhaps a way to order nodes after they are published. E.g. I publish 10 nodes with random titles but want them to appear in a certain order with a link to the next node.

The book module (comes with Drupal core) seems to be what you're looking for. It is mainly used for hierarchical navigation, but if you place all nodes on the same level, then you can rearrange hierarchy using drag and drop, and also use prev/next navigation
