Taxonomy Menu: how to create a top level menu

I try to use Taxonomy Menu to create a menu of a vocabulary, but in the configuration I can only choose this menu to be a sub-menu to another menu; however, I want it to be a standalone menu in the left sidebar (in its own block). Is this possible?

I figured it out myself. You have to create a menu yourself, then go to Taxonomy, edit the vocabulary you want to list in the menu. In the Taxonomy Menu part select the menu you just created, and be sure to unselect 'Item for Vocabulary'.
