Specific content type and email notification meessage.

I have created a new content type. Suppose: xyz
What I want whenever somebody will create+edited "xyz" content type the subscribed users of that content type(xyz) will get email notification message.
I have tested Trigger module but in Trigger module I cannot set that xyz content type. I can set only the all content type. How can I select specific content type or is there any other solution. Please advise me.

you've been given 3 options by VM-- and yes, they do work. Core triggers and actions don't allow for this level of specificity.
