I am trying to use the new group function on the new image picker 2.1. I don't really get it though. Under 'Add public group roles', I see this message:

Add roles for public access to your group. (Don't check anything to make it available to all groups.)

But there are no roles to select from. Am I missing something?

You have no roles available because you haven't given any roles sufficient permissions. Go to admin/user/permissions and set it up there
