I have a site where I was using the file caching enging.

Just went to forum, intending to post new thread; but tho I was logged in when linked from home page, I found that I was logged out when arriving at a listing of threads in category.
Tried clicking link on forum page to sign in, but got an error message, saying I was not allowed access to page.

Please post your $conf['cacherouter'], status report, modules you use etc.

sorry, but since halted using Cacherouter, so I don't have this info just now

as I recall, in config.php, few changes bar to set the engine to file(maybe deleted a line or two that not needed)

quite a few modules, inc Advanced Forum
