Installation wont accept DB details

Hi guys/girls,

im having difficulties with first time installation.

Im working on clean installation of Centos 5.2, mysql Server version: 5.0.45, PHP 5.1.6

The DB is empty and newly created, and I am able to login into it locally on the server, but during the installation, entering the details and pressing continue, just sends me again to the DB details page.

What am I missing?
