Nothing showing in the block

Description
We uploaded and turned on all modules, imported items as shown in the video, etc. Custom folder was uploaded to the theme.
Download method is set to public.
Multiple nodes have been created.
Block has been set to the content bottom region.
The block shows, as you can see the title of it. However, that is all you see - none of the nodes that have been created are showing.
I uncommented that line in the template.php file, and this is what showed up on the page:

?>I went through the entire video to ensure that all steps were followed, and I can't find a single thing that isn't set properly.

Could you also uncomment the other 3 drupal_set_message lines in the preprocess functions and attach the result of the drupal_set_message lines.
