Official, stable release for 5.
Fixed a few bugs and some general cleanup. This hasn't been thoroughly tested yet so it is going out as a beta. If there are no problems with it in the next few weeks it will go to an official stable release.
this release should have been a long time ago, in order to keep people from downloading a dev snapshot. but here it is. enjoy.
