Possibly Moving from WordPress to Drupal

We have already had success pulling the data from WordPress to Drupal. I have a developer who is fairly well versed with the workings of Drupal but doesn't have as much experience with the modules so I am looking for some help here.

I was actually shocked at how many Modules Drupal Supports, which is why I am posting. There are quite a few to sift through and perhaps some of you could offer some advice.

We do a website about video games. One of the main reasons for moving away from WordPress is the support for media is lacking.

We are looking for a simple easy to use Screen Shot Gallery (Image Gallery) module. I would prefer a lightbox style one that offers multiple options for the viewable size. To keep it easy to use it would be great if I can just Upload Images to a Directory and the Module will populate the images into a gallery dynamically. Watermarking would be a great bonus.

Also does Drupal have any plugins that directly support video? Would it be a high definition solution? If not we have a space on YouTube and it would be fantastic if I could just feed it my YouTube username and perhaps have some discipline in my video naming so the Module could pick it up automatically.

SEO Optimization is very important too, is there any module that would allow you to edit the keywords of individual pages and attach certain keywords to all pages. These would need to be separate data spaces as I would want to change the keywords on all pages in the future.

SEO = nodewords.module

Drupal has a lighbox2.module and there are multiple ways of handling video. Testing them on a test site would be benefical as would the book called multimedia I think?

For SEO...

Check out the SEO Checklist module for a step-by-step guide: http://drupal.org/project/seo_checklist

Nodewords is a good start and will do what you're asking. But, don't neglect the title tags and URL paths. Critical, critical stuff for SEO.

There's also a google

There's also a google analytics module (http://drupal.org/project/google_analytics) if you're interested in tracking as well. You'll need to set up a google analytics account separately to use this, however. Other helpful modules I've found are XML sitemap (http://drupal.org/project/xmlsitemap), Meta tags (http://drupal.org/project/nodewords) and Meta Tags by Path (http://drupal.org/project/nodewords_bypath), Meta tags Node Type (http://drupal.org/project/nodewords_nodetype), which works with the Meta tags module and allows for certain meta tags to be specified on a per node type basis. Scheduler (http://drupal.org/project/scheduler) for node scheduling (on/of date-time), is also very useful if you're for this kind of functionality as well.

I don't really know much about moving a WordPress blog to Drupal though... I wonder if you could maybe set up the blog in drupal, then export the what's in your database in wordpress and write a mysql insert that would put all of the old blog data into the new drupal blog table. Not sure if that would work though.. could become a pain in the rear :-/
