Calendar module to book appointments for clients

I'm currently trying to create the functionality to add an appointment for specific users of my personal training website. I successfully created a view to query for the appointment type that I created. I also used the content access module to allow me to assign permissions to specific users. This worked, and I was able to assign specific appointments to users. However, when I changed the view type to a calendar view, it no longer shows up with the appointment for the particular user. Any ideas? Is there an easier/better way to accomplish this?
