why is there a restriction to add a child page to http://site.org/project/modname/ ?

Hi all:

Does anybody know as to why is there a restriction to add a child page to http://site.org/project/abc/ ?

After installing the project module, i created a project called 'abc'.

The url is (for example) http://site.org/project/abc/

i'd like to add multiple chapters to this 'project book' which will constitute the documentation.
But, there is no [Add child page]. What is the reason for this restriction ?

The only work around i'm left with is to add a link to another book/page which is the 'Project abc home page'.

Does anybody know, how one can workaround this issue ?
