Seeking pro developer: Corporate site framework (Milwaukee area - or remote?)
I'm faced with possibly restarting a corporate brochure site project that's about 75% done in home-rolled ColdFusion. Having experimented a lot with Drupal, I know it already offers most of the features that have required custom coding in CF. It might be a slam-dunk for a pro experienced with custom nodes, taxonomy, and some of the contributed modules. I'm especially excited by the CCK, 4.7's new Forms API and other stuff. I just don't have time to figure it all out alone.
This site begs for Taxonomy-related navigation modules, or perhaps the new Category and Views modules. Each content page is to be complemented with side blocks featuring "Related Content" and "Related Products" as defined by taxonomy/categories/tags/whatnot.
Details...
Requirements would include:
* search-friendly URLs (Drupal core)
* Breadcrumb navigation (Drupal core)
* Site search (Drupal core)
* Drop-down or accordion main menu (Drupal 4.7 core, or some menu module?)
* Employment listings (Job Search module?)
* Some juicy content limited to registered site visitors (Taxonomy_access module?)
* Illustrated product "catalog" pages (Flexinode or CCK modules?)
* Product maintenance list sortable/filterable by various fields (think I saw a module for that...)
* Extremely minimal visitor registration form: Name, company, e-mail
* PDF or Flashpaper generation of nicely printable product pages
* Good traffic reporting
If this could be done with Drupal more quickly than finding someone to finish the ColdFusion site, I'm listening.
Anyone within range of the Milwaukee area? I could provide comfy office space, PC, and huge blocks of working time at your convenience, day or night.
I could possibly work with someone remotely, if you've had verifiable good experiences doing that.
Any suggestions or comments on this post are welcome, but any interested developers please contact me soon via my user form.
