Problems upgrading from 6.12 to 6.13

Hi
I have tried several times now to upgrade, but i keep getting the following error, after upgrade, when I go to the modules page:
Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /var/www/vhosts/fdea.co.uk/httpdocs/site/sites/all/modules/admin_menu/admin_menu.inc on line 536
Is anyone aware of any upgrade problems?
I also tried only uploading the neccessary files, not all, still get same problem.

It (along with more generic WSODs) sound like what you're experiencing.
So, upgrade your copy of admin_menu first (or disable the module) and then try upgrading.
