don't understand how to use forms at all.

I've been searching google for a simple tutorial on how to create a web form and have the data insert into a database (not the drupal database). I've read about the webform module and quite frankly it makes no sense to me. Can someone point me to a step by step example? I tried to do a regular form and have it submit to a php page but the POST value are blank. Same when I tried it with get. Please don't point me to a module that doesn't have explicit instructions. I've read about 5 modules and none make any sense to me. TIA

Billy

Maybe these will help for webform module.

Once you start to get the hang of the webform module, then I believe you can insert php into the form so that it submits it's values somewhere other than the database.

That's all I know.

Thanks man. I'll start
