Seems like I can't re-enable comments on a content type?

I created a new content type (for venues) and disabled comments on it. Now I'd like to re-enable them to use with fivestar so that users can leave a comment and numerical vote voicing their opinion on the venues.

Problem is, I've gone to admin/content/node-type/venue and set the Default comment setting value to read/write - but the comments form isn't appearing in my original node?

Any ideas on how to fix this? Comments on other content types are working fine.

Ignore all that, I forgot about the per-node comment settings. Doh!

Only applies ...

... to new nodes.

Haha yeah, thanks for not

Haha yeah, thanks for not shouting noob at me!

I was expecting it to automatically apply to all nodes, and forgot about going back to the node settings and updating the comment setting there. I was hoping no one would have noticed this thread before I edited my original post!
