The project content type doesn't have a tags vocabulary, which would allow the project's maintainers to liberally tag their own projects, and make easier for the users to find the project they are looking for.
If I would be looking for modules that handle metadata, it would be easier for me to find them if they would be tagged with "metadata, meta tags". Right now it's not possible, and I would have to look at hundred of modules just to find the ones I am looking for.

avpadernoI cannot even use the advanced search, which would allow to select the content type to search for.
The search form would allow to search inside the node body, but it doesn't help when the word I am looking for is not contained in the node body.

avpadernoDo anybody else have a comment about this feature?

vm commentedI don't understand, modules can already be tagged by developers. ie: administration user authentication so on so forth.

avpadernoWhat I mean is to add a vocabulary where the user can enter the taxonomy terms they want, without to select from a list (I guess I should have said free tagging vocabulary).
To make an example, a project like Meta tags could be tagged with "metadata", which could be applied to Integrated metatags too.
There are cases where to add a new term to the vocabulary actually used for the projects is not something you would not do (mainly because you don't know if the term would be used by many projects), but there is still the need to tag a project, or a group of projects.

avpadernoThis report could be maybe merged with #512620: Freetagging for themes?.
