Really like this module, really like drush. i already use drush to import the db (when working in a sandbox) so it would be great it if could also use drush to trigger a manual backup!

I agree, this is on my todo list and has been for a while. Unfortunately it's not super high on the list and keeps getting trumped by other tasks. Will definitely happen at some point though.

Basic drush support should be in the next dev as soon as the packaging scripts kick in. Let me know if it works for you and if you have other features you'd like to see.
