newbie web developer requesting for advice on ecommerce
Hi,
I new drupal user and I have been making websites for the last two months. I have learned alot and really appreciate the team effort that has gone to this great product.
I am currently making a site for a law firm. The clients will be able to make the payments to the law firm online and then avail of their services. The payment which was made goes into an escrow and once the client has agreed that the project was completed then the system makes the payment to the concerned lawyer.
I have decided to use paypal and ubercart to process the payments and the logic.
I will highly appreciate it I can get a feedback from some expereinced users if this is a good choice which I am taking.
Cheers,
Vishal

Good Choice
I don't think that paypal will support separate client trust accounts, but the accounting is good enough that you can track client funds WITHIN a single overall trust account, which is what most jurisdictions require anyway.
I've found ubercart to have grown into a well.developed, mature, flexible webcart.

Hi,
I am new to ecommerce payments. What do you mean by "separate client trust accounts," ?
I understand that you are saying that paypal and ubercart is a good choice. Please confirm as I am totally new to this part of web development and I want to make sure before I put my time and effort on it.
Cheers,
Vishal
Confirm
I confirm that these are good things.
The Client Trust Accouints are required by the Code of Professional Responsibility here where I practice. Money is required to be kept in a separate account from your operating account. May be different where you are.
Probably not an important distraction....
