Can't get exposed filter to display in view block

So I've completed the Amazon module + Views tutorial in Chapter 4 of Orielly's Using Drupal book and I now have a nifty list of recommended music titles on my page > www.musicalmissionary.com/support

Then I go on to set up an exposed search filter in the view and it shows up when I preview the view on the Edit View page but it doesn't show up on the page where I set the view block to appear. Why is the exposed search field appearing in my preview but not on the actual page?
