How to insert Username as menu item?
Hi,
I have a community site which has some social-networking features.
Right now, when a person is logged in, his Username appears on top of a Navigation block, which isn't linking anywhere. I want to create a Primary Link menu item which will display that person's username (like we see in YouTube or Facebook), which would link to his profile page. How can I achieve this???
It would also be awesome to have a little 24x24 avatar before that username.
Of course, I could use a custom block for this, BUT... It is important that this is a menu item because when people hover over it NiceMenus module will also open up some sub-menus below it (like we see in YouTube).
I've been googling for such solution for a long time, but found nothing. Is there a module that could help me? Is there a custom solution that you know of? Please help, so that others will also have some sort of a solution to this.

Use "advanced profile kit"
Use "advanced profile kit" module it's replacing "My account" with "Username" in menu plus it's adding very nice profiles replacing default ones.
.
That was a bug in Panels 2, actually, and not a feature. It's been fixed in Panels 3.

OK I see now :P Indeed
OK I see now :P Indeed something was wrong, because at someone's user profile page, in menu where the "my account" link is, there was his username instead mine, but there's problem because advanced profile won't work with panels 3 as far as I know (I tried it).
Sure it does
APK actually requires Panels 3. It won't work with Panels 2 since the last Alpha.
