Dear Ubicity,
I have just downloaded and enabled the Apture module which sounds really exciting.
Now I have a few questions:
1) In the settings page, it mentions an "Apture site token" I have been on the Apture site, but I could not find where to look for the token. Can you please tell me what I should do on the apture site to get the token?
2) After enabling the Apture site, I went to the permission settings, but did not see the Apture module there.
Does this mean that once enabled, anybody can insert Apture content anywhere on my site?
3) Finally, on the setting page, it mentions whch content type I can use apture on. What about comments? Can we use Apture on the comments of the content types selected... this would be a really nice feature :)
Thanks again,

OK, I have answered question 1 already. I did not notice the pop up with the easy, clear step by step installation. No need to go to the Apture website.
I have another question though:
4) Can we disable or control the embed feature? I am afraid that if there are no size restrictions, then some of my users might embed huge pictures that would be too big for my site and break the layout. What do you think?
Thanks again!

2) No...it inherits permissions from "access administration pages". By default it's only available for admin accounts.
3) Yes. That would be a nice feature indeed, and it is coming
4) see 2

I have installed Apture on a drupal site and all works great except when i create a new content type Apture will not work on it. I have enabeled Aprure for this new content but it wont work. Has anybody seen this problem or is it a bug?
Thank you

So it doesn't work in preview mode....but it should work when you actually Save the content

Ubicity I am able to create the new content in the new content type and then publish it in drupal. Then i go to the published page and hit "e" to get the Apture dashboard to show up then i can sign in and create the links in the already published page cool. I can then go back and edit the content and the Apture editor buttons/links are now available with my text editor(fckeditor) for me to use as i continue to add more content. Thank you for the advice.
But is there a way for my users to apply Apture to there content before thy publish the document. The resin i am asking is Apture is working that way for drupal native content (page, book, forum, story). I am only having to first publish something before i can start Apture working with custom content types?
Thank you for helping

An update will be made so that you can preview your aptureized links/embeds before publishing.

but I believe drupal has a number of "publish" related options on the editing page. So you don't necessarily have to published the post when saving it.

Thank you Ubicity for the fast response. I look forward to the new update. I have been trying to configure drupal to save content with out publishing the content to the world as you commented (#8) and the only way i have found is to install a module like "DRAFT" and then the custom content type will not have apture available lintel i save(this publishes the content to the world) it and then go back and edit it. This is puzzling because apture is working great with drupal core content (page, book, story forum). With the core content as i create it apturt is available with out having to publish it first.
What i mean by custom content is "Home » Administer » Content management » Content types" then Add content type you want. This way you can have site users publish under a specific topic that thy have control over. Since apture is working for core content i think i can use taxonomy terms that site users can chose from to publish(page book story) under but this eliminates the border possibility for apturu; as an example: A site that has users post want adds, where the add can be easily written with the rich links apatur makes available I must use the custom content option for the users to post there advertisement/content.
Thank you.

@Delta Bridges: Here are the steps to have Apture display images on all edit, preview and publish modes. Instead of displaying Apture HTML code.
First install the WYSIWYG module http://drupal.org/project/wysiwyg
Then setup WYSIWYG module to use the FCKeditor. To do so follow instructions on WYSIWYG configuration page.
(Note that you should not install the FCKeditor module. But only WYSIWYG module.)
Create a new page. Click on Apture embed button. Select or upload any picture.
Click on Apture INSERT button. FCKeditor will automatically show this image in edit mode. Plus FCKeditor will automatically resize the picture so it fits your content. You can resize the picture too using the handles.
If not working make sure you're using Drupal FULL HTML input format. Not the FILTERED HTML.
@marshallexcavating: I tried the Apture module version 1.7 it's working fine. Maybe the bug was fixed in the lastest 1.7 release.

Current Apture version 1.7 support standard Drupal body field. But doesn't support CCK fields yet. Support for CCK fields is a plan feature. Follow progress at http://drupal.org/node/519576
