When I start to type in the text area, below it says: NaN characters remaining

Does anybody have the same weirdness??

yes... but it doesnt matter.. even if i just type "aaaaaaa", it says "NaN characters remaining"...

Make sure that you're using the latest version of the module, and that if you upgraded, you don't have any old files left over. Try refreshing your cache as well; if you use JavaScript aggregation, it's quite possible that an old version of the JS is cached and incompatible with the latest dev.

I can't replicate your problem in any standard, modern browser or OS (or server OS, for that matter) on a clean install. That includes IE7+, FF2+, Opera 9+, Safari 3+, and Chrome. (I am testing in English, but I happen to know that quite a few production non-English sites are using this module successfully.) That means that unless you can demonstrate that your issue can be reproduced, I'll be forced to close it, as I really have no other ideas for what the cause could be.

I uninstalled the module for now for other reasons. Closing the issue..

This is probably a duplicate of #518076 NaN characters remaining which has the likely solution.
