After installing phptheme Firefox asked me which program I would like to open .php files with [while performing a search]. PHPTheme was offered as the default program but I chose Firefox. Now whenevr I run into a search box that accesses a .php file Firefox opens an endless series of tabs which repropagate until I kill firefox. In 'file types' windows is set to open .php files with firefox (which is correct right?) Probably a beginner's question but I'd appreciate the help. Thanks in advance. ~Jared

I have this problem (not with drupal, but I've noticed it elsewhere) on my mac if I have dreamweaver open while i'm browsing.. Don't know if that's the case for you or not, but I thought I'd toss it out there...

cheers

Is that opening a file off your local computers disk? Or when you browse to PHP files on your site?

Is Drupal running on your local machine or on a web host?

when I am browsing a test site on my local computer. It suddenly wants to "download" some .php files, especially the root drupal home page (though not other pages within the site). If I delete all the firefox preference files, and reload firefox, it suddenly works again. I've no idea what causes this.

IE works normally.

PHPTemplate is installed on a server. This only happens when performing some web searches in firefox. Same thing as above...tries to download phpfile. Dreamweaver is installed, but this happens regardless of whether its open or not.
