I am still using the November devel version on my server with no problems. I am testing the current version (rc1) on a local machine with no contention and the module is very expensive.

Environment=Fedora 11, php-5.2.x
Webserver=Lighttpd
mysql=5.1.35

Core2, 8GB mem

Just rendering the index page from localhost, without a style sheet, is taking several minutes. Mysqld really spikes. The cache files have been created as expected. My concern is that Google et al will time out.

Please note that I realize how much time and effort have been devoted to this project.

I was also wondering why the site maps are only 1,000 rows each.

Thanks

If you want a version that scales better and won't tax your site so often, use the 6.x-2.x-dev version. That's where all the work for performance and scalability is going.

Wow! My compliments to the chef. I have tested the heck out of the dev version on a local machine with rebuilds and it is stable enough to move to the production server (running CentOS). I have one minor bug report which I will file tomorrow.

Thanks for all that your do.

I know this issue is closed, I just wanted to add for other users' reference that when we enabled rc1 on a site (www.ataxi.ro) with about a hundred nodes (with i18n enabled), the performance went way down. Page loads and node saves started taking 5-10 seconds more than before. Going to give the 2.x branch a try.
