another option welcome

Automatically generate the title if the title field is left empty and hide the title field.

dont want to allow users to re-edit the title, fg. my title is auto assigned ID number of real estate property, which can't be changed, if using 1st option, this will change the title as well but hiding a title field, using 2nd option it will not change the title automatically, but it allows user to change it. Sometimes it's not welcome.
