Issue Summary
This module's name conflicts with the video upload component (submodule) of the video module: http://drupal.org/project/video
When the video module (http://drupal.org/project/video) is present on the modules directory, the video upload cck field will not be listed in your modules list and thus can not be enabled.

Hi,
This might be causing another issue that I've been having. I can't even get the module to show up on my module page. I've read the tutorial about 10 times. I have my Zend library in the youtube folder. I have the video upload module in my sites/all/modules folder. However, I can't get it to show up on the modules page to even begin to enable it.
Any thoughts on this? Maybe I'm doing something really dumb?
Cheers,

Exactly the same problem as Carlos. Any workaround?

I guess you can delete the submodule of video with the conflicting name...

Nothing I can do here. The module's name stays video_upload.
There should be a note in the README though...

maybe this should be raised with the maintainers of the video module.
it makes more sense to me that they should rename their sub module than make you rename your module.
