when switching views, day context is lost

If a user is viewing a day view, then goes into the calendar month view or week view and then clicks back to day view - the context of day that they came in through is not tracked, so the module returns them to the first day of the week or first month of the year.

It would be great if this context was maintained somehow, as we find users getting confused when they navigate around and then get bumped back to Sunday/January randomly
