I just upgraded from 6.12 to 6.13

It is not something I enjoy doing and have little experience with it.

All seemed to go ok except that many of my blocks had been moved back to Disabled and many more had 'forgotten' their configerations, eg, only visible on certain pages. I rectified it manually, but I have a lot of blocks and configerations so it was a real hassle.

Did I do something wrong and how can I avoid this in the future?

(also, is there any way besides writing it down which modules I had active before upgrading?)

when upgrading, copy all the files and folders from drupal6.13 folder to your directory but do not replace the themes and includes files.
thats hat i did and everything went well.
