I have seen weights o-o-on my field page.

at
admin/content/node-type/story/fields
type admin pages where can edit the position of fields for content types, with Eldorado Super Fly I get weights instead of drag handles.

Is it just me, by design, or a bug?

Not at all by design -- and it shouldn't be happening. Hm. Are there any other JS-related modules you installed or enabled at the same time? That tends to happen when something JS-related is horked...

problem solved

Devel Themer's span wrapper was the culprid, it caused the selector in the JS to not match anymore

OK. It was that I had enabled the devel theme module. :/
