captcha's and contact form submissions

Are there any contact form modules, or form-creator modules that have captchas? My site contact forms are getting spammed, and I suppose I'm prob going to have to require an account but I really don't want to do that. I'd rather allow anonymous users to post feedback with a captcha thing in the form. Is there a way to add that to every node even??

captcha module

http://drupal.org/project/captcha is the only captcha option for Drupal ATM. I'm pretty sure there's feature request for captcha on the contact module in Drupal 4.7, but I haven't tried to see if it's been implemented yet.

I also just added some blacklisting features to the troll module (http://cvs.drupal.org/viewcvs/drupal/contributions/modules/troll/) to block users using list information from http://spews.org and/or a homegrown list that needs testing so I know if I can tag it for Drupal 4.7 or not.

You could also try the webform module

for 4.6.5 -- This seems to be fairly spam-resistant.

what anti-SPAM features is this supposed to have?

On a technical level,

I have no idea :)

But, in my experience from using webforms on a number of sites, I haven't received any spam from these forms. This could be due to the nature of the forms I have set up -- most of them had a combination of text areas and pick lists set up as required fields, which made them less susceptible to automated spam than simple comment forms.

Or, maybe I've just been lucky -- *crossing my fingers*

Basically, they have worked perfectly for me, so I haven't looked too hard at them.

i like the webform module.

i think i'm going to try out the spam module and see if that helps. we've had 2 or 3 sites getting spammed so we need to figure out how to stop it.

this is definitely worth checking out.

i have just a small damn PERSONAL site getting virtually no hits at all but there's this poker spambot annoying me already. this could be the beginning of something worse unless i take some drastic measures because i haven't been able to apply captcha on the comments module on 4.6.5 (patch is pending).

thank you very much.

ps. why the heck would some stupid clod want to spam a teeny tiny no hits site??? just to annoy someone?
