Nodeforum will not work if Comments and/or Forum module not completely uninstalled

Just as an FYI, nodeforum is probably going to be deprecated. I can't say for sure, since it's up to the maintainer of course, but there won't be much use for it once nodecomment 2 becomes the recommended version.

I am confused - do I still need Node Forum for Node Comments to work?
If so, does Node Forum "replace" the core Forum module (i.e. should they both be switched on?)
Will Advanced Forum work with all this?

I respect what you guys do and I am forever grateful, but there are too many modules here, my brain is hurting!

Advanced Forum 2.x works with Nodecomment 2.x and you would not use Node Forum with those two. Nodeforum works with Nodecomment 1.x and does not work with Advanced Forum at all. I don't know if Node Forum replaces core forum as I've never used it.

I am still trialling this forum setup so will use the Advanced Forum 2/Nodecomment 2 combination for the moment, hopefully not too buggy. Look forward to full versions of both. Keep up the good work Michelle, you rock!

It's not too buggy and is pretty usable but it is still alpha and there could be major changes made before beta, especially if I get a designer to help me refine the HTML. If you're doing a custom style, use substyling if at all possible to avoid having to redo it to keep up with changes.
