Thinking of switching to Drupal

I'm thinking of switching my site to drupal. I'm currently using Joomla 1.5
Things I'm looking for that I'm hoping someone here could help me figure out that I need for my site.

A picture gallery which members submit pictures to.
A video gallery which members submit videos to.

Any suggestions please?

Photo and Video Galleries

There are a multitude of ways to set up a photo or video gallery as I understand it from 'simple' grid layouts to Flickr and YouTube inspired styles.

I have been tracking suggestions here, here, here, and here as this is one of my next 'learning curves'.

Depending on the features you need form a video gallery, I like to use the http://drupal.org/project/swftools module (requires videos to be flv already) with cck and views. If you can't guarantee that videos will be in flv format, i would use the http://drupal.org/project/flashvideo module.

For photo galleries I use the method described in: http://www.lullabot.com/articles/photo-galleries-views-attach.
