I am trying to reconfigure the global Twitter account. I tried to do it from the configure itnerface, and didn't work, so I deleted the tables, and tried again, still didn't work. Then I tried uninstalling the module, and the tables weren't deleted. (I made sure to run database update after every attempt.)
What's even crazier is this: I finally just deleted the tabled myself, and then tried reinstalling the module. It didn't create the tables this time around. So I ended up with a module without any tables.
What the heck?

malbert75 commentedI am having the same issue for the most part. So one of the admins for our site deleted the twitter folder in the modules directory instead of uninstalling it from the admin/modules page. I tried putting it back and doing the correct install but when I put the folder back into the module directory all my admin directories go offline and are inaccessible. I finally went in and manually deleted the tables but I now can no longer install the twitter module without it crippling the admin pages. I also noticed I cannot manually run the chron script at all. So any help would be greatly appreciated!
