Logged out of admin, all menus and login box have disappeared. Have been checking forums etc for a few hours.
Things that don't work
mysite.com/user
mysite.com/admin
mysite.com/?q=user
mysite.com/?q=admin
All these still give access denied.
Also tried repairing database.

Slipsey1,
This sounds like a bad file copy. a couple of things to check:

1.) if you're using an app like winSCP to transfer the new version, make sure its in BINARY transfer mode (same goes with FTP)

2.) Check file permissions, a good (not so secure way) to check is to apply 0755 to the entire drupal install (except for the files dir that needs 0777)

If that doesnt work, please reply to this thread, i'll bookmark and keep an eye out.

Went to the new version a couple days ago and have been
able to login since so I don't think that's the problem.

I changed all the permissions to 755, then went back and changed
default/files to 777.
Still access denied.
I also deleted all cookies from my browser.

I was installing and activating FCKeditor when this happened.
It doesn't look like there is a mask in the SQL database.

Any more suggestions?

Gave up and reinstalled Drupal without clearing databases.
Didn't work.
Deleted and recreated databases and am okay now (although starting from zero).
Still don't know how it happened but I think it was related to only
putting the login on certain pages? I give up

Hi,

I recently experienced the exact same issue.

Funny enough, I was also uploading FCKeditor while using the rest of my site simultaneously. Suddenly I was locked out whenever I tried to access any ?q=user or related page. Access Denied !

So, after reading this treat, I felt as if FCKeditor had something to do with it. Afterwards I deleted that very same KCFeditor folder, without ever having configured it, to see if anything got fixed, but nothing happend.

Now what !? Any ideas ?
