Hello everyone, I plan change our current company website to drupal system. However I have some questions. We are a hot forging company. This is our web www.forgingmanufacturer.com

Should I change it to Drupal system? We only use few functions, the main is the article function.
Please give me some advices. Thanks a lot!!

Why I plan change to drupal is that I know Drupal could put many products with pictures.

Drupal can certainly be used to make some powerful corporate website, whether simple or complex. Here are a few examples of corporate sites made with Drupal http://www.drupalsites.net/categories/corporate

Since Drupal 7.0 will take some time before it can be used, since third party extensions take time to develop, it would be wise to use Drupal 6.0 and later upgrade to 7.0.

I have found out that Drupal is can be used for a simple site that will give the small business owner flexibility to change and post information without having to wait for a programmer.

One such site that I have worked on with a consultant is http://www.ncsafetyandlife.com. This consultant is being training how to setup and change his own content.

In addition, there are thousands of modules that are available to people at not cost. It all depend on how fancy you want your site to be, but with a minimal investment, you can have a site up and running quickly. In addition, there are many screen cast on subjects that can be used as a model. I use several books and one such book is from Drupalfun, http://book.drupalfun.com/ This person also is selling the entire site as a package at a very reasonable price, http://book.drupalfun.com/socialnetwork

You can check out my own site that I am working on http://www.drupalus.com. I am not a programmer, but have learn a lot on my own about developing Drupal websites.

Enjoy!!!

I totally agree. Drupal may be used on whatever size the business is without the aid of a programmer. One advantage you may get is that you can design a simple or a complex website to your liking. In addition to this, there are a lot of plugins/modules available to you which are offered at a very reasonable price. So if you're finding a tool that will guide you to building a website at the lowest feasible cost, Drupal is the best tool for you.

Drupal content management systems allows website owners to edit their own website content, its as easy to use as Microsoft Word with the added WYSIWYG module you can add products with pictures and edit your website text. This is the great benefit of a Drupal website since it takes limitations into consideration and provides a very popular means of organizing your own web content with out the frustration of hiring a website management company.
