I was trying out 5.x-1.4 and ran into the search issue stated on http://drupal.org/node/147898. I downloaded the D5 Dev version from http://drupal.org/node/130915 and when I enable the module in the admin panel, I get an error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function drupal_install_schema() in /var/www/html/lawtest/sites/all/modules/protected_node/protected_node.install on line 48

If I delete the module folder from the server, I can get the site back up (test site, of course) and am wondering what I am doing wrong to get the dev version up and running.

This is now an old issue and 5.x is not supported anymore. Marking as fixed even though it probably isn't.
