Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right section of the forum or not. I hope it's ok here.

We are getting to grips with drupal now and I want to upgrade the look of one of our main sites.

There are many free themes available, but we can't seem to find many premium themes. We have spent quite a few hours using google but we only seem to find lots of free themes, many of which are nice, but we haven't really found what we are looking for.

We are looking to pay up to approximately $400 or so for a nice looking theme, that is well supported by the company, and has many regions and it well coded.

We have bought one from Topnotchthemes and that is very good. But for this site, none of their other themes are quite what we are looking for in terms of design.

We could invest time etc in learning themeing, but we don't really have time for that. We have a health business to run etc..

So are their any other professional template companies that have websites with some ready to buy templates of the same standard as topnotchthemes?

Please let me have your suggestions.

http://design.acquia.com/theme-providers has a nice list... I'm most familiar with TopNotchThemes, very nice. All Drupal Themes looks promising. The one I'd be careful with is Template Monster... I have seen some of their "Drupal themes" and they're of debatable quality (particularly in regard to quality/clean and compliant code)... and most are just regular themes that they adapted for Drupal.

The key is that the theme must be of the quality of the topnotchthemes people.

I don't want some badly coded wordpress theme that has been thrown together for Drupal. It may look ok visually, but the code behind can be poor etc.

Some of the "commercial" theme sites in the links on your recommendations don't seem to be actively operating. In some, the latest themes are back in 1998 etc.

I guess I am looking for the middle option regarding the theme. In other words, most of the free themes we have looked at aren't up to the job and at the other end of the spectrum I don't want to spend $thousands of dollars in getting a custome made drupal design and code written. Somewhere in the middle are the guys like topnotch. I am looking for more templates at their standard.

Perhaps there aren't that many, either because it's too difficult or morelikely, it isn't easy to sell $300 themes when there are so many free ones (albeit lower quality). Anyway I will go through the recommendations and if you think of any others, please let me know.
