Your instructions say to download the preprocess functions
* For alpha versions of imagefield and filefield --- Export_files.zip.
* For beta versions of imagefield and filefield ---Export_files_V1.1.zip.

Neither imagefield or filefield have a release labeled alpha or beta currently. Can you use explicit version numbers to clarify.

The text for the beta version is actually:
* For beta versions/latest version of imagefield and filefield ---Export_files_V1.1.zip.

Changed to:

For 6.x-3.0-alpha versions of imagefield and filefield:
Export_files.zip.
For 6.x-3.0-beta and newer versions of imagefield and filefield:
Export_files_V1.1.zip.

Hopefully it is more clear now, please let me know.

Edit: Actually I'm sorry, you do say you put full release info in ... sorry morning coffee hasn't kicked in
and you asked question of where/what page I saw the instructions I quoted
It was on the "Preprocess functions" page at http://ddblock.myalbums.biz/node/765 , before it tells you to goto the download page

Looking at back at past releases, I see where beta/alpha comes in
For imagefield for example:
6.x-30-alpha1 Aug 8,2008
6.x-3.0-alpha3Dec 30, 2008
6.x-30-beta1 Mar 15, 2009
6.x-3.0 Apr 21, 2009
....etc

However that is not apparent on the 'front page' of the imagefield project page (Only under 'View all releases')

I appreciate someone that has been actively using ddblock and imagefield since last year has seen the releases progress and understands the alpha/beta progression, but as someone who just discovers the project say in May/June/July of 2009 that 'historical' connotation is not readily evident. From a 'new user' perspective the instruction assume a lot of past knowledge of the progression of drupal/ddblock/imagefield that they don't have.

Couldn't it be easier to just say for versions < 6.x-3.0 , etc

I assume that eventually imagefield will release a 6.x-40-alpha1, at that point won't the instruction get more confusing?
