Description

Hi - great module, but I've had a bit of trouble configuring the canvas size, integrating with SWFTools and FlowPlayer (latest versions).

My aim is to have the player match the size of the loaded FLV each time, without scaling it.

Things I've tried:

  • Setting the Flowplayer scaling to "orig". This centres the content in a bigger player.
  • Leaving the default Flowplayer dimensions as blank in SWFTools. This makes the player revert to default size.
  • Inside "Basic flash node options", manually setting the size to be the same as the FLV. This doesn't allow for the Flowplayer control bar height, so I add 24 (the height of the control bar) but it seems to leave a bit of a border no matter how I try this.
  • Doing as above, but making sure scaling is set back to "scale" to fill that gap.

This last option works, however it does mean we have to manually set the size in each flash node, however I suspect this is how it has to be.

This leaves me wondering, though, why we see this inside the "Flash node basic options" for width/height: "The width of the movie, in pixels. Leave blank to use the file's own settings." If we leave it blank, Flowplayer does not seem to use the file's own settings but reverts to its default.

Have I found a bug? Perhaps you could shed some light on these issues and state the best way to achieve a no scaling variable size per node.

Many thanks.
