While testing lm_paypal subscriptions I set up a recurring payment. Works perfect. So perfect it won't stop. I turned off recurring. I cancelled the user subscription. I deactivated LM_paypal. I am still getting that recurring payment.
What do I do?
Thanks

lyricnz commentedThe recurring payment is being driven by Paypal. All you should need to do is get the user to cancel it with paypal.

dwdusharme commentedAhhh. Ok. Thanks. Just did that for my own test account.
But, just for curiosity sake, shouldn't I be able to cancel subs from within LM_paypal since that is where they originate?
The reason I ask is that there is another user that wants to stop his recurring billing. In the interest of good customer service I would prefer to just say "Sure, no problem, let me take care of that for you," rather than have him try to figure out how to do it in PayPal, which, by the way, was not easy to find. It took me about 5 minutes of clicking all over my PayPal payment before I found it. You have to drill two levels down into the payment to find the Cancel Subscription button.
So, doable within LM_Paypal?

lyricnz commentedNope, I don't think it's possible from our end - all we do is ask paypal to set up a subscription, but we don't have authority to ask them to stop (only the user has that). Perhaps there's a deep-link that we can send the user to that lands directly on the subscription? Maybe you can consult the paypal docs and let us know :)
Marking issue as "won't fix" since this is (probably) not something we can do anything about. If you find some documentation about a better place to link to - then feel free to reopen with that information.
